“AGAPE Care Pharmacy - 1021 South Collegiate Dr. Paris, Located at the Village Shopping Center is open 9-6, but will open after hours and holidays just call 903-905-4961, and he said if needed he would stay late if after 6, but will come out at night, late night if needed. He opened up for me at 12:30am, did the insurance work. So, I highly recommend this pharmacy, especially if you are like me and get sick after all the other pharmacies are closed. Thanks!"

Paul Anthony Imeine Ukhun, originally from Nigeria, and wife, Cynthia, move to Paris about 20 years ago and established Agape House World-Wide Ministries, providing free medical services to the needy. Today that ministry has evolved into Agape Care Pharmacy, 1021 S. Collegiate Dr., in the Village Shopping Center.
Agape Care is a full-service pharmacy filling prescriptions, compounding medications and selling natural products. Delivery is free on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The pharmacy is staffed always by a Texas State Board of Pharmacy registered pharmicist, a certified pharmacy technician and one or two clerical assistants.
Uhkun, a pharmacist, is manager of Agape Care. His wife is a registered nurse, regional manager for the Texas Department of Aging and Disability, and, starting this fall, will begin providing flu shots at the pharmacy.
The Ukhuns have two children — Destiny Ukhun, owner of Authentic African Braids on Clarksville Street and Prince Oseirudate Ukhun, a first grade student at North Lamar —and two grandchildren — David and Cynthia Ileche.
The family are members of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, though Dr. Ukhun is an ordained Baptist minister, and ordained Presbyterian elder and deacon. Ukhun and his wife are involved in Christian medical missionary work and have gone on seeveral missions to Nigeria and Ukraine.
Ukhun, in addition to his work in the pharmacy is available to listen and if necessary, give advice on healthcare, and spiritual and emotional issues. He studied in London before moving to the United States. He is host of the local TV 99 shows “Prescription for Health” and “Alive in Christ.”
The Ukhuns are the recipients of the Armstrong-Gibson Award for Outstanding Promotion of Community Health in 2007.
